Improving the Selectivity to Liquefied Petroleum Gas by Combining Fischer‐Tropsch Synthesis with Zeolite Cracking

The Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) is a heterogeneously catalyzed surface polymerization reaction with wide spectrum of hydrocarbons as products, following the Anderson-Schulz-Flory distribution. Subsequent cracking unwanted long-chain products can increase desired product fraction shorter (HCs). In this work, Co/Mn-catalyzed FTS additional by Pt/H-ZSM-5 zeolite was investigated to selectivity liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). At lower temperatures, no but isomerization and conversion alcohols took place. Raising temperature process resulted in HCs increased total LPG selectivity. Additional experiments n-hexadecane model substance were conducted.
